Proactive Policing among Abbey and Northbury Wards

Today your local Safer Neighbourhood Teams worked collaboratively in different areas of the ward to mitigate and deter ASB and criminal activity among the areas involved. There were several positive outcomes throughout our patrols in the local Community. 

During the course of duty a knife was seized alongside a significant quantity of suspected cannabis, which are now securely in Police custody.

Officers also apprehended a wanted individual who was unlawfully at large while on patrol. 

An engagement was also completed which was a Coffee with a Copper, providing local residents to engage with their neighbourhood officers and raise any concerns they may have.

We aim to strive and ensure the ward is routinely and proactively patrolled when we are on duty, tackling crime and Anti Social Behaviour alike, and hoping to ensure we maintain a strong relationship with the community we serve through engagements and patrols.
